So here's a <strong>stir-fried squid with salted eggs recipe,\u00a0<\/strong>delicious served with rice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are salted eggs?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Salted_duck_egg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0 <strong>Salted eggs<\/strong> &#8211; <em>kha\u00ef kem<\/em> &#8211; <\/a>are commonly eaten throughout Thailand (and in most Asian countries). These are duck eggs that are macerated, whole and raw, in highly salted water for 4-8 weeks. The salt in the solution \u2018candies\u2019 the egg. It is then eaten in rice soup, in salads or as a side dish. <br>For this recipe, we only use the yolk of the salted egg.
